AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition
The AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (AVAC) is a community and consumer based organization to accelerate the ethical development and global delivery of vaccines against HIV/AIDS. We provide independent analysis, policy advocacy, public education and mobilization to enhance AIDS vaccine research and development.
Global AIDS Alliance
The Global AIDS Alliance (GAA) is a transnational alliance of partner organizations, founded in March, 2001 and headquartered in Washington, DC. Sponsoring groups include religious organizations, humanitarian agencies, human rights groups, AIDS activists and others. The GAA stands for eliminating the AIDS crisis without delay by mobilizing public opinion, more money, and far better policies against HIV/AIDS and its causes, including extreme poverty.
Health GAP (Global Access Project)
We are dedicated to eliminating barriers to global access to affordable life-sustaining medicines for people living with HIV/AIDS as key to a comprehensive strategy to confront and ultimately stop the AIDS pandemic. We believe that the human right to life and to health must prevail over the pharmaceutical industry's excessive profits and expanding patent rights.
International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial honors the memory of those lost to AIDS, shows support for those living with HIV and AIDS, raises community awareness of HIV/AIDS, and mobilizes community involvement in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Last year, the event was observed in over 500 locations in 73 nations on every continent but Antarctica.
